Hello all. I'm in the process of rebuilding my website, and I want to import my old posts from my wordpress.com blog so that I can fill out my new blog and use the old posts for testing. I signed into my wordpress.com blog, went to Tools > Export, and performed a full export. Then I signed into the admin area of my new site, went to Tools > Import, and tried to import the XML file, but the importer isn't working properly. The first time, it imported about a third of the photos. The second time another third. Then I tried importing it with the 'import attachments' box unchecked, and that imported the posts but none of the photos are attached to the posts.
As far as I can tell, all of the content has been imported, but I don't really want to have to go through and manually insert all of the photos to the proper posts. How can I get this to work? The XML file is only 779 KB, so file size is not an issue.
