Hi all, I have a real head scratcher regarding updating posts.
I don't know about pages because all mine are template driven.
The problem with editing posts:
I have tried deleting users, creating editors and recreating administrators and every user gets the same problem.
If I make a slight change to an existing post and hit 'update' the resulting page is a snippet of code of with no css. Sometimes this is part of the admin menu, sometimes it's showing part of the 'edit profile' links.
I click back and the post revision has not saved.
I have tried deactivating all plugins. I have tried renaming plugin folder, I have tried resetting the plugin folder and the problem persists.
I have tried using a default theme (I even updated the default themes) and no change.
The error page is not always the same! Sometimes I get a 'page not displayed' error and sometimes I get my custom 404!
I've also recently noticed I'm getting the occasional internal server error!
Plenty of disc space left and plenty of bandwidth left....
If that isn't strange enough I can create new posts and once I've created a new post I can edit it however if I copy and paste the content from an old post into the new one then hey presto, the error appears!
Yesterday I viewed a post in html, copied the html into notepad, deleted the post content, saved it blank and then pasted from notepad back and it worked! But it isn't working anymore.....
I first noticed this after I added a new plugin but my host restored to a previous version. I admit I updated again straight away (can't remember if the problem was there before I updated as I think it was the first thing I did...)
Any clues, tips etc would be much appreciated!
I have created an editor profile if someone wants to see for themselves....
Thanks in advance! (I know there's a genius out there somewhere!)
