Yes, I've been looking at that very thing -- that's why it does not show on an iPad -- because it's narrower. So try again to deactivate all plug-in and change to the twentyeleven theme. Also try resetting the plug-ins folder. (Those are the standard troubleshooting steps.) See if you still have the problem then.
