markappeal on "Blogs do not show up in Dashboard"

I have set up several multipress subfolder sites
I follow the directions closely.
I get the network installed fine.

But when I add new sites they do not show up in the dashboard.

they are added and you can navigate to them but they don't show up

1. in the number of sites I have
2. the dropdown menu
3. etc.

When I click on sites it only shows the 1 main site and NONE of the child sites.

HELP
