IVAN GABALDON on "To log in or not to log in: different behaviors with different domains"

Hello!

Thank you so much for your reply.

Still, I'm at a loss trying to figure out exactly what you mean and how to go about it. Please excuse me for not being more versed on these matters, I'm only a self-taught "webmaster".

I'll try to explain myself better:

My original website is http://www.ivangabaldon.com, I started developing it in 2005, and indeed it was built mostly with frames, as I couldn't figure out another way to do it back then. In spite of the many things going against using frames, it has served me just fine so far. This is my main site and I need to continue developing and updating it independently from my blog.

Then, last year, I decided to start a blog, installed WordPress in the rideintobirdland directory I created at my website and started producing my blog at http://www.ivangabaldon.com/rideintobirdland, which has also worked fine so far. There are no frames in the blog, it's just a standard WordPress site.

Finally, a few months ago, I purchased the http://www.rideintobirdland.com, hoping to be able to use the shorter domain name, but without buying additional hosting. It works, except for the menus for login in and subscribing.

I have just been messing with 301 redirects in my site's CPanel, to no avail. I have written for support from my Hosting Service as well, but any additional help here will be most appreciated.

Sincerely,

IGH
