First of all, I'm a VERY new WordPress user - one week - but not new to website management, as I've been using a lower-end page builder for a while.
I started build a few pages a few days ago. I could work a while, leave WP, then log back in to do ore work. I was advancing to the point of adding widgets and using plugins.
For some reason last night, the dashboard menu became 'jumpy' when I hovered over it with the cursor. It started taking a long time for things to refresh, so I got out of WP and Explorer both. When I tried going back in, after filling in the Login info, the IE display turned all white and stayed that way until I closed that IE window.
When I go directly to the website, outside of the WP editing environment, the website is a mess. I'm using the Twenty Eleven theme but you wouldn't recognize it. Everything is left justified instead of centered and some of the graphic elements are missing.
QUESTION (finally): Would a corrupt them cause login problems? Should I just reinstall the theme .zip? It won't be a major disaster at this point if I lose all of the work - it's been a few days and most of that has been learning. I have minimal content so far.
