I am using my host's cron panel for a job from a newsletter plugin. I'm not using wp-cron for this.
The problem is that the script, even though it is working, rewrites the URL to the site, adding /?doing_wp_cron=1351.... onto the end of it.
I have checked and rechecked my settings for the plugin. It persistently shows an error stating my cron job has not been set up, even though it is running. (I have posted about this on the plugin's support thread, but have yet to get a good answer.)
My am using shared hosting running PHP 5.2. The host's support isn't able to help with this.
Another thread suggested defining ALTERNATE_WP_CRON as false in wp-config. This has not been effective.
Can anyone help? I don't want to broadcast the cron job to every visitor.
